39 degrees F at 5:30 a.m. The first thing I noticed this morning was the same two bright “stars” (or planets or satellites) I saw day before yesterday. As I scanned the sky, which was cloudy again, I made out the faint outline of ORION and followed his belt to SIRIUS, but that’s all I could see for stars today. The first morning I started walking again ā€” September 11 ā€” spoiled me. I keep wanting to see lots of bright stars in a clear dark sky. Oh well, I’ll take what I can get. When I turned around to start home, I noticed some soft reds in the eastern sky. Nothing to compete with Cedar Key’s sunrises, but it was nice to see some morning color above Camel’s Hump.
